The Epiphone EIGLPC-EB Les Paul Custom Ebony brings refined style and powerful performance to the iconic Les Paul design. Part of the Inspired by Gibson Collection, this model honours the classic instrument designed by Mr. Les Paul. Originally introduced in 1954, the Les Paul Custom earned its famous reputation as the “tuxedo” version.
This Ebony model features an all-mahogany body that delivers warmth, strong midrange character, and impressive sustain. Furthermore, the gloss finish creates a sleek appearance that complements the guitar’s formal styling. The multi-ply binding also adds a refined visual detail around the body and headstock.
A glued-in mahogany neck provides a stable connection and supports the guitar’s sustain. The Modern Medium C profile offers a refined and comfortable playing feel. Additionally, the 24.75-inch scale length delivers the familiar response associated with classic Les Paul instruments.
The bound ebony fretboard provides a smooth and responsive playing surface. It features 22 medium jumbo frets and distinctive pearloid block inlays. Meanwhile, the 12-inch radius supports comfortable chord playing and expressive string bends across the fretboard.
A pair of Epiphone ProBucker Custom humbuckers powers the guitar. These pickups draw inspiration from Gibson Custom’s Custombucker humbucking pickups. Consequently, they deliver powerful humbucking tones with detailed character for a range of musical styles.
Each pickup connects to individual volume and tone controls using CTS potentiometers. Era-appropriate wiring further supports the guitar’s vintage-inspired design. Additionally, the three-way toggle switch allows players to select either pickup independently or combine both.
Gold hardware enhances the instrument’s distinctive formal appearance. The gold LockTone Tune-O-Matic bridge and Stop Bar tailpiece provide reliable string support and performance. Meanwhile, Grover Rotomatic tuning machines feature an 18:1 gear ratio for precise tuning adjustments.
