The DK705 is a 5-piece drum microphone kit built for close-miking a full kit, pairing one Q71 kick drum microphone with four Q72 cardioid instrument microphones for toms and snare. The Q71 is a dynamic mic voiced to capture the low-end body and attack of a bass drum, handling up to 147dB SPL, while the cardioid Q72s reach 133dB SPL with a slight upper-midrange boost that helps drum attack and clarity cut through a mix.
Each Q72 comes with a tension-mounted rim clip for quick attachment to drum hoops, and the whole set - mics, swivel mic adapters and rim clips - packs into an included hard-shell carrying case for transport between rehearsals and gigs.
