Allen & Heath AB1608 QU & SQ 48k expander, 16 in, 8 out

This is a 48kHz remote audio expander (AudioRack) built for use with Qu and SQ digital mixing systems and the AHM-64 audio matrix processor, providing 16 mic/line inputs and 8 line outputs at the stage end of a single Cat5 cable run. Mic preamps offer up to 60dB of gain with phantom power indicators and a -20dB pad for line-level sources, while balanced, relay-protected XLR outputs feed monitors or other systems.

A dSNAKE EtherCon connection allows placement up to 100 metres from the mixer, and a second EtherCon port supports daisy-chaining to another expander unit or a personal-mixing system. Firmware auto-updates to stay in sync with the connected console, and the rugged chassis with rubber bumpers is designed for stage-floor placement.
