The DX168 is a portable I/O expander that adds 16 remote mic/line inputs and 8 line outputs to Allen & Heath dLive, Avantis and SQ mixing systems, and is also compatible with the AHM-64 audio matrix processor. It connects to the mixer over a single Cat5e cable carrying digital audio, control and power up to 100 m away, using a locking EtherCon port; a second EtherCon port allows redundant connection or daisy-chaining to further DX168 units.
Housed in a rugged 4.8 kg chassis with rubber bumpers and a carry handle, it is built to sit directly on a stage floor for touring, rental, education and house-of-worship use, with up to six units expandable per dLive system.
